Pickering Bird Retreat is a parrot-focused bird boarding service serving Pickering and the surrounding Durham Region. We keep this simple: we are a small local operation, not a marketing company, and we treat your information the way we'd want our own handled.
The only information we collect is what you choose to type into our contact form or booking inquiry form. That typically includes:
We do not run accounts, we do not require a login, and we do not ask for payment details through this website. We don't use third-party advertising trackers or sell-your-data analytics on these forms.
We use the details you send for one reason: to answer your inquiry and, if you decide to board with us, to arrange your bird's stay. That means replying to your question, confirming availability, preparing a custom quote, and coordinating drop-off and pick-up. That's it.
We hold on to your messages only as long as we reasonably need them — to follow up on your inquiry, to keep a record of a booking, or to help you again if you come back for another stay. If your inquiry doesn't lead to a booking, we clear it out once it's no longer useful. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
You're always in control. If you'd like us to delete the details you've sent, or you simply want to know what we have on file, just email us at info@pickeringbirdretreat.ca and we'll take care of it.
Your messages reach us over an encrypted connection, and we limit access to the people who actually need to read them to help you and your bird. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
This is a service for bird owners. Our forms aren't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority.
